The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for the 12-month and Fall Internship Programs.

Description:

The Internship Program provides interns in-depth exposure to the workings of individual departments and practical and theoretical training in museum practices, and acquaints them with the role of museums in contemporary society. Working under the supervision of one of the Museum’s professional staff, interns contribute to timely projects, gain insight into the functions of individual departments, and learn about the Museum’s various collections, exhibitions, and programs for visitors. Internship projects are based on Museum needs and requirements and are assigned to interns with the appropriate skills and interests.

12-month, full-time paid internships (available in Education and Curatorial Departments)

Full-time (Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.)

September 14, 2009 through September 10, 2010

Stipend: $22,000 for the 12-month term, plus standard Museum health benefits, two weeks paid vacation, and additional $1,000 to cover travel expenses and registration fees for one approved professional conference.

Fall part-time unpaid internships
